Catering Team Volunteer

The Catering Volunteer is the front-line representative of the catering facilities provided by the Crewe Heritage Centre to members of the public.

Our team of dedicated volunteers are passionate about inspiring our visitors’ curiosity in the people, businesses and engineering marvels that call Crewe their home.
The responsibilities of the Catering Team Member are:
Serve on the counter, taking food and drinks orders.
Help with basic food preparation.
Keep the dining room and other catering areas clean.
Washing utensils/dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
Clear and clean tables and food preparation areas.
Disposing of rubbish.
Move stock and stock up catering facilities.
Engage with customers and resolve their issues.
Handle cash and use a till.
Ensure food and beverage hygiene standards are met.
Be aware of customer dietary requirements.
Ensure that health and safety regulations are met.
Report any issues to the Catering Team Lead.
Qualifications :
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Introductory Certificate in Food Safety (Level 1).
Good communication skills and a great work ethic.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Being able to work as part of the catering team, supporting the team where required.
