Saturday 25 October: MIOG Exhibition
We are excited to welcome back the Modern Image O Gauge (MIOG) Exhibition to Crewe Heritage Centre in 2025.
The Modern Image O Gauge (MIOG) community is proud to announce a family-friendly exhibition featuring a spectacular variety of layouts and traders. With support from friends at Locomotive Services Group, they will blend full-size rolling stock with meticulously crafted models, offering enthusiasts the perfect inspiration for their own railway creations.
This year’s event holds extra significance as they honor the memory of Colin Burgess, a beloved MIOG member who passed away in June 2024 after a brief but courageous battle with prostate cancer. Colin’s passion for both model railways and the real railway world was boundless, and it is in his spirit that we have dedicated ourselves to fundraising for this vital cause.
Over the next 13 months, leading up to their exhibition on 25th-26th October 2025, they will be organising multiple events to support prostate cancer research and awareness. Their goal is ambitious—raising £20,000—but every donation, no matter how small, brings them closer to ensuring that fewer families endure the heartbreak they experienced with Colin.
Colin was a devoted father, husband, and cherished member of his family and community. This fundraising effort is a tribute to his legacy, and the MIOG invite everyone to join them in making a difference. Even a pledge of £5 would be deeply appreciated.
Donations can be made via the MIOG JustGiving page, or simply by attending their exhibition at Crewe Heritage Centre and supporting the cause in person.
Let’s come together to celebrate our shared love of railways and do Colin proud.
Admission Prices:
Adult - £10
Children - Free (0-15 when accompanied by an adult)
£5 Charge for any child un-accompanied by an adult - Please note a minimum age of 12 years old will be permitted entry
