Catering Team Lead

The Catering Lead is responsible for the overall management and delivery of catering provided by the Heritage Centre to the public.

The responsibilities of the Catering Lead are:
Planning the food and beverage menus, considering dietary requirements and costs.
Oversee food preparation.
Schedule volunteer rotas.
Manage the training of catering volunteers.
Ensure food and beverage hygiene standards are met, maintained and recorded.
Ensure health and safety regulations are met, maintained and recorded.
Ensure equipment is safe and maintained.
Ensure that the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place.
Manage stock and place orders as needed.
Engage with customers and resolve their issues.
Engage with catering volunteers and represent them within the Heritage Centre.
Manage the quality of the food, beverages and service provided.
Be responsible for the financial management of the catering activities.
Agree prices with Trustees.
Budget management.
Prevent waste.
Keep financial and administrative records.
Understand and manage Legal & Insurance Issues.
Reporting any urgent issues to the Responsible Officer.
Qualifications :
Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety (Level 3).
Ability to lead the catering team.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Good communication skills and a great work ethic.
Good interpersonal skills.
