CREWE HERITAGE CENTRE ANNOUNCES KIDS GO FREE FOR 2026 SEASON
The museum is planning a packed season of events to support new displays and interactives which will roll out across the season. And much-loved favourites will also be returning including the miniature railway, model railway, signalling displays, Crewe at War exhibition, standard gauge locomotives and the record-breaking APT-P.
Crewe Heritage Trust is delighted to announce that when Crewe Heritage Centre reopens on 1 April 2026, children will enjoy free admission all season. This is a saving of £6 per child compared to 2025. The initiative underscores the Trust’s commitment to making local heritage accessible, engaging and great value for families.
This season will be one of the most exciting yet, with new displays and interactive experiences set to be unveiled over the coming months, alongside a full programme of special events designed for visitors of all ages. This will enhance our returning favourites include:
• The miniature railway
• The model railway
• Historic signalling displays
• The Crewe at War exhibition and the return of some old favourites
• Standard‑gauge locomotives, including the 8000th locomotive built at Crewe Works and the world‑record‑holding APT‑P
• The viewing platform
• Shop
• Cafe
Families can also plan budget‑friendly days out with the return of Free Admission on Wednesdays during Cheshire East school holidays.
