Monday 25 August: Open to Visitors including Artist Francesca Chinnery’s dig for Victory workshop!

Visit the Crewe Heritage Centre for a fun family day out. Open 10am-4.30pm (last admission 3.30pm)

Join Artist Francesca Chinnery today from 10.30AM-3PM and travel back to wartime Crewe and discover how families used Victory Gardens to grow their own food and add flavour to rationed meals. Decorate your own plant pot and plant herbs like thyme, mint, sage or chives to take home and grow. Explore Dig for Victory posters and authentic Second World War recipes to find out how people made the most of limited ingredients.
